About Us

Meet the Owners!

I am a single mother of a six year old boy. Several life events have led me down the path to open a We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym. My son’s father plays an intricate role in our lives. Our lives changed in a way that we were totally unprepared for. Never in our wildest dreams did Autism enter my mind.

My son is easily described as a young boy who loves to run, play, jump on his trampoline, climb, ride his bike or scooter, and yes, he knows his alphabet, shapes, and likes to put puzzles together. He enjoys observing how mechanical or electrical machines work. We couldn’t be more proud of him!  He is the happiest, loving, well-adjusted, and happy six year old boy!

Upon seeking physical activities/exercise activities to enroll my son in, I came across the We Rock the Spectrum Kids’ Gym website.  Hence, the journey to acquire and open a We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym in Westchester County began so that other parents and their children, both typical and with special needs, would have a fun and safe indoor gym to run, jump, play, and climb. Most importantly, a place that would primarily focus on the sensory needs of children and youth on the spectrum.

Simply put, my son and my niece have truly inspired me to pursue this effort for those who may not otherwise be able to socialize in a fun and engaging way.  Thus, our story continues….

We hope you will bring your children of all abilities to our gym so they can have fun, make new friends, and feel good about being themselves. And while they’re doing that, let’s share stories that will inspire the next generation of families in need of a little inspiration and support for their own journey.

We envision our gym as a community hub for programming, a safe place for respite and therapy, and a home for parents and caregivers to find meaningful adult conversation, share their personal stories, and to pick up helpful resources.

Our We Rock gym will offer birthday parties, private playdates, special events and class trips. Our future plans are to include Break Time, Parents Night Out, One-on-One Attendant Care and much more! We would love to hear suggestions from our community as to what you would like to see us offer!
